SELF REGULATING HEATING CABLES CABT/VINEYARDS
Technitrace company has developed a reliable solution against spring frosts and accumulation of snow or ice on the buds of vines and having widely proven itself in vineyards.
Ecological and innovative technology, the CABT/Vineyards self-regulating heating cable can be cut to the precise length at each end of the row without any loss of power calorific linearity of the latter unlike other technologies used.
Its outer sheath is specially designed to resist a harsh environment (treatments used by the profession, shocks, bad weather, etc and sun radiations.).
Electronic cards have been specially developed for monitoring installations with intensity absorber and heating cable cut detection.
AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION AGAINST LATE FROSTS
The CABT Vigne self-regulating heating cable was installed in the heart of the Burgundy vineyards in Chablis, as well as in the Champagne vineyards near Reims.
Designed to protect vines from late frosts, thanks to the numerous quality tests applied at the manufacturing stage (in Toucy, Burgundy, France), this heating cable has proven to be highly effective, reliable over time, and particularly economical compared to other frost protection solutions.
HOW TO INSTALL A HEATING CABLE IN YOUR VINEYARDS?
To install the CABT Vineyard self-regulating heating cable in your plots, several power supply solutions are possible:
- Direct connection to the electrical grid via a protective cabinet
- Connection to an electric generator
- Connection to a generator installed on a tractor’s PTO
Securing the cable is very simple: loose plastic straps must be placed on the lowering wire. This solution has the advantage of requiring no maintenance and is both environmentally friendly and durable (sheath resistant to UV rays and chemical treatments).
Thanks to one or more thermostats controlling the heating cable’s trigger temperature, the vines are protected zone by zone.
