ANTI-FREEZE HEATING WIRE – HEATING WIRE FOR TEMPERATURE MAINTENANCE
Self-regulating heating wire: the tracing solution manufactured by TECHNITRACE
Heating wires provide high-performance tracing for frost protection of pipes and hydraulic components. Heating wires are a highly effective solution for protecting your plants, fruits, or vegetables from frost, both in greenhouses and outdoors.

Self-regulating heating wire: Certified quality
TECHNITRACE manufactures its own heating wires with a very high level of requirement (TECHNITRACE certified ISO9001: 2015, CABT heating wire: certified QB58 by the SCTB, CAMT heating wire: certified QB58 by the SCTB), will be able to provide you with its expertise to study all your frost protection projects and for maintaining the temperature of sensitive elements.

Self-regulating heating wire: Areas of application
The TECHNITRACE heating wire, with its performance and long-lasting reliability, its intrinsic qualities, and its flexibility of use, meets the needs of a very diverse clientele:
- Agriculture
- Viticulture
- Horticulture
- Industry
- Construction
- Chemicals
- Aeronautics
- Residential Construction
- Mobile Home
- Tiny House
- Boat Building
- Plumbing
Self-regulating heating wire: Main uses
To meet the needs of each customer, TECHNITRACE manufactures and offers heating wires with the most suitable specifications:
Heating wire for frost protection of cold water pipes

Heating wire
for maintaining the temperature
of pipes and tanks (up to 35°C)

Self-regulating heating wire: Areas of application
The self-regulating anti-freeze heating wire manufactured by TECHNITRACE is sold either in short lengths (5, 10 or 20m), or in reels (50, 100 or 250m), in 12, 24, 48, 110 and 220 Volts, with or without braid, and in different powers: each frost protection or temperature maintenance project needs to be studied to determine the most appropriate characteristics to meet your needs.

Low temperature self-regulating heating wire: Advantages
Heating wire
and specificity of the semiconductor element
The CABT low-temperature self-regulating heating wire manufactured by TECHNITRACE consists of a semi-conductor plastic heating element that adapts its heat output (W/m) at every point according to the local temperature. This intrinsic feature of the semi-conductor heating element therefore makes it possible in certain cases to dispense with a regulation system (self-regulation).

Heating wire
cut to the desired length
The TECHNITRACE heating wire can be cut to the desired length on site (150m max) and is therefore very easy to install. For your electrical tracing installations, particularly on chilled water networks, we strongly recommend the combination of our THA/E electronic regulators. These, equipped with a current absorber at start-up, guarantee you rigorous and reliable electronic regulation (energy savings of over 50%).

Heating wire
with locally adapted power
The TECHNITRACE heating wire allows for branching from a single power supply point. The semiconductor heating element adjusts its power locally. The design and materials of the TECHNITRACE heating wire offer good flexibility of use, which allows for the tracing of hydraulic components (valves, pumps, etc.). Finally, still among the many advantages of the TECHNITRACE heating wire, it allows for overlaps during installation (self-regulating).

Self-regulating heating wire: Installation tips
Self-regulating heating wire
on metal pipes
On metal piping, we recommend providing extra lengths of heating wire for thermal compensation of hydraulic devices, as well as for dismantling (thermal compensation coil before and after the device to be maintained). When installing the heating wire on metal piping, it is important to take care against possible pinching or overlapping.

Self-regulating heating wire
on plastic pipes
On plastic piping (PVC, HDPE, etc.), we recommend providing a grounding braid. The heating wire will be placed on a heat sink (aluminum adhesive) and covered with a heating chamber (aluminum) to optimize heat transfer.
