Project Description
Lower-temperature flexible self regulating heating cables CABT/FLEX consist of a semiconductor plastic heating element that adjusts its linear heating power (W/m) according to the local temperature of the cable. This intrinsic feature may avoid the use of (auto)-regulation systems in some cases. They can be cut to length on the heat tracing site and are therefore installed very easily.
Flexible self regulating heating cables CABT/FLEX offer unmatched flexibility among self-regulating heating cables. They can be used in the most complex implementations and can be overlapped.

APPLICATIONS RANGE
EXCLUSIVELY USED TO PREVENT PIPE FREEZING

Thermal power output determined in compliance to standard EN 62.395
MAIN BENEFITS
Flexible self regulating heating cables CABT/FLEX offer :
- Cut to length on heat tracing site
- Allow connecting branches with power supplied from a single point
- Semi-conductor plastic heating element that adjusts locally its heating power
- Very good flexibilty enabling hydraulic parts tracing (valve, pump)
- Cables can be overlapped during installation (self-regulating feature)
- CABT/FLEX heating cables withstand 45°C power on / 65°C power off
OPEATIONAL PRINCIPLE
The  diffusion of heat generated by our self regulating heating cable varies and depends on where the cable is situated and the cables contat temperature.Â
Thermal power output determined by the manufacturer in compliance to standard EN62.395
- Calibration: rated current * 3
- Only use C or D curve circuit-breaker
- Possible peak current : 3,5 * rated current /300ms
- Compulsory residual-current circuit breaker : 30 mA
- Maximal length = approx 70 m
