Low temperature self regulating heating cables CABT/Ex are specially used for maintaining the temperature of pipes, tanks and other hydraulic units located in hazardous areas (ATEX classified as explosive atmospheres).
Our self regulating heating cables CABT/Ex can be cut to length on the heat tracing site and are therefore installed very easily.  For the power connection of the self regulating heating cables CABT/EX  you should use a certified EEx e box (increased safety) or EEx d (flameproof) in compliance with the European standards EN 60079.14 / EN 60079-0/07/30.
Maximum temperature exposure (power ON-energized) : 65°C
Maximum temperature exposure (power OFF -de-energized) : 75°C
Maximum advised maintenance temperature : 35°C
MAIN BENEFITS
Self regulating heating cables CABT/Ex are cut on-site to the requested length.
Due to their design, they ensure an intrinsic maximum temperature of 65°C without the use of  a regulating system in some cases.
Self regulating heating cables CABT/Ex also enable branches from a single point of electrical power supply (power along the whole cable length)

OPERATIONAL PRINCIPLE
Self-regulation at 65°C
The  diffusion of heat generated by our self regulating heating cable varies and depends on where the cable is situated and the cables contat temperature.Â
